Mar 18, 2023: Added a document on information of a picture of a steam engine found with the family photos. There is an interesting amount of information.
Sept 8, 2021: Added a document on Bruno and Bertha Godin, written by their son Rene with the help of siblings. This will likely be the last document posted because of privacy reasons. The only additional updates to this site will be records and pictures. I have completed my project. You may contact me at prgodin@gmail.com should you desire more information. I have many records, pictures and other information that has not been posted.

September 1, 2018: Took a very long break from the research but have accumulated enough data for an update.
April 7, 2012: Took a short break from active research while busy with other things. Current line of research is with French Immigration to the area and the associated history of Achille Godin, a story that invariably leads back to the French and the Catholic Church in Manitoba.
September 18, 2011: Have made an interesting finding. The house that is in St Prosper and was known to the family as possibly the house of Achille is in fact the Rectory (Presbytère) for the church. If anyone knows why this picture was in the family collection please contact me. I am currently researching Achille and Emilie, and associated background history.
September 16, 2011: Have made some document additions and some minor edits on previously posted documents.
August 27, 2011: As you may have noticed I have made a few changes to the structure of this web site and continue to add documents as they are assembled and completed.I have reserved this area of the main page for comments.
August 27, 2011: I have now posted an excellent set of findings under the document called "Through the Registers". This contains the absolute proof of our direct relation to Charles Gaudin who arrived in New France in the 1650's.
August 27, 2011: Made some minor updates to several documents (they now include the registry information). Started to add to the Resources page. Have added links to the full size registry information.
